

Charles H. Cushman Award
The Cushman Award, established in 1957, is presented annually by the Eastern Region of IPMA-HR. The Award is a tribute to Charles H. Cushman, given in memory of his outstanding and lasting contribution to the field of public Human Resource Administration as Director of Personnel for Rhode Island, as Chairman of the Eastern Region and as President of the Public Personnel Association. His public and private life exemplified the finest traditions of public service.
Purpose:
The purpose of this award is to recognize and honor a member of the Eastern Region who has made an outstanding and lasting contribution to the field of public human resource administration.
Criteria:
The major criteria as evaluated by the Awards Committee of the Eastern Region, is that the person selected must be a practitioner in human resource management promoting sound, positive, innovative and effective human resource principles.
